New Friends

New friends

New friends are always fun to have. I love making them, you start out having long conversations and then you run out of things to talk about. You end up talking about everything and nothing, then when you find a topic and you exhauste it. You sit there wrecking your brain trying to find something else to talk about. You crack a joke, and gets ignored. Then you wonder if your friend is getting bored with you and you ask them. They ignore the question, and it kind of hurts your feelings, but you let it slide because the friendship is new.

🤔 Now here’s the conundrum how do you explain feelings when all you’re doing is texting. They can’t see your face or hear the inflection in your voice, or know that you’re laughing, or giggling, unless you tell them so.

😱 I forget to do that sometimes, and sometimes the emotions come out wooden, and hollow, or too intense without ever meaning to offend, or scare them off it just happens that way.I’ve been told I have a big heart but sometimes I think it gets in the way. I don’t know what to do. Maybe I just wait and see, maybe it’s just me being paranoid again I don’t want to drive my friend away by saying the wrong thing.

I’m being honest at least with my friend I don’t believe in lying. Though I may have to work on tact. I can be brutally honest and I don’t want to accidentally hurt his feelings or annoy him yes it’s him oh I have female friends that I have the same fears with don’t get me wrong sometimes I think I work too hard or not hard enough. I’m hard on myself when it comes to this kind of thing.

🧐 🤯 🫶 It all comes down to self-esteem and sometimes mine’s not so great it’s hard to show unconditional love to others when you don’t have it for yourself when you feel worthless because you can’t do much you want to go out and have a good time but when pain or because you know you’re too slow and can’t keep up because you have to mosey or you’ll hurt yourself you can be a real pain in the ass let me tell you you always feel like you’re getting left out even when you’re not.

Well I’ll leave you with this.

🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

To be a good friend you accept them for who they are not what they can do for you you love them for them, unconditionally, warts and all. And Hope and pray that they will do the same for you. Remember in your heart of hearts that not all people are like you. I have come to that realization I laugh at myself when I forget that but there are some really amazing people out there, and never stop trying to make friends.

I don’t.

Thre Rights Of Any Friendship or Aquantence

cropped-cropped-music-dandelion2

I. You have the right to act toward others according to your own beliefs and values (not according to theirs), to live your own life (not to be lived by others), to live out your own decisions and to live with their consequences.

II. You have the right to see others as equal (regardless of how they see you), to esteem others as neither superior nor inferior (in spite of how they esteem you).

III.You have the right to renegotiate relationships (although the others resist review), to take new positions (though the others prefer the old), to change your mind (even when others doubt you have one).

IV. You have the right to fail (therefore the right to choose freely), the right to make mistakes (therefore the right to take risks).

V. You have the right to see your own perceptions, to feel your own feelings, to think your own thoughts, to act your own actions, to experience your own accountability.

What Kind Of Friend Are You???

  1. The friend who only calls or comes round when you need something?
  2. The friend who if its not convenient it doesn’t matter to you?
  3. The two faced friend who loves me to my face and trash talks about me behind my back?
  4. The friend who is just a friend for what I can give you (stuff)?
  5. The friend who uses me for your fall guy?
  6. The mean friend who subtly bully’s me?
  7. The friend who takes me for granted?
  8. THE FRIEND WHO IS ALWAYS THERE NO MATTER WHAT?
  9. THE FRIEND WHO LIKES ME FOR ME?
  10. THE FRIEND WHO IS HONEST 99.9% OF THE TIME?
  11. THE FRIEND THAT DISTANCE DOESN’T MATTER YOU’LL CALL,TEXT, OR WRITE OFTEN OR WHEN POSSIBLE?

12. THE FRIEND WHO LOVES ME UNCONDITIONALLY?

I was not yelling. I was separating the good from the bad. Friendship is very important to personal growth and stability, allot of people go through life with out experiencing true friendship. And it’s sad. you don’t need to follow the crowd to have friends. sure its fun to fit in when it good clean fun like fashion, music and common interests. But acting like some one else is not good for you; you need to be you. If you don’t know who you are trying new things is good as long as they are legal and you aren’t going to hurt your self doing them. to be liked you must Like your self.

I know that can be hard some times and some times you need a helping hand to show you how to do this. Self respect and self esteem go hand in hand .

And always remember that what you say and what you do out in the world is how people in the world see you and make their opinions of you.IF YOU DON’T ACT LIKE AN ASS AT HOME, DON’T ACT LIKE ONE IN PUBLIC!

Words can Hit harder than a slap. So think before you speak. you will make more friends that way.

You know I just went over the don”ts. And did not help any one make friends. Well here it is its simple , smile and say hi. Sometimes it just happens you start talking to some one oh  I don’t know at the Dr.’s office or the park or the food court at the mall and things build from there or its someone from work or school. I used bad grammar on purpose to make a point. sometimes a random act of kindness can be an Icebreaker just don’t be creepy about it. If you are trying to make friends with someone who is standoffish and a little rude find out what interests them it might be something you like to do to or something new you might like.

well, I’m going to close with a poem from a friend.

A blessed thing it is for any man or woman to have a friend,

one human soul whom we can trust utterly,

who knows the best and worst of us,

and who loves us in spite of all our faults…
